Brasilia
(Yoshihiro Karashima)

Brasilia, city of all accents, tastes, traditions, folklore and customs from all regions of Brazil as well as tastes from all continents.
In Brasilia, the visitor can enjoy a delicious “feijoada“ (typical Brasilien meal based on beans), a great barbecue, a typical “moqueca“ (dish of fish or prawns with an exquisite sauce based on coconut milk and several spices), an authentic salted beef with cassava or international elaborated dishes from the Far East, Middle East or Europe.
Brasilia is made of many Brazils and various countries. Our accent is the composition of several accents and our culture is also a mix of several ones. But some features are unique. Brasilia is one of two cities built in the twentieth century that earned the title of World Heritage Sites, and is the only one with a collection of modern architecture so generous in quantity, beauty and importance.
Wide and planned tracks facilitate the movement between residential and work areas from Brasilia. The largest green area per capita combined with an artificial lake with a perimeter of around the 80 km provides the citizen with a high quality and healthy life, free from pollution.

The availability of 22,000 beds allow visitors to have several options for lodging at all cost levels. In Brasilia the company Prestheza Tourism offers the traveler all types of services such as receptive for an enjoyable, safe and memorable visit of this Capital with which Don Bosco dreamed of.
On 30 of August of 1833, this Italian saint born in 1815 and founder of the Salesian Order, stated: "Among the parallels 15 and 20 there was a long and wide depression, from a point where it formed a lake. Then, repeatedly, a voice spoke: "... when they come to explore the hidden mines buried in these mountains, you will see here the promised land shedding milk and honey, it will be an inconceivable wealth ..."
