Brazil takes everyday scenes for Expo Shanghai
Everything is ready for the Expo Shanghai 2010 starting on May 1st, with an estimated 600 000 visitors per day. The estimate is that the Brazilian Pavilion receives an attendance of 1,000 and 1,500 people per hour. The Expo Complex - with more than 5 square kilometers - is home to 130 pavillions from countries, large corporations and international organizations.
For the night of Friday, April 30th, there will be a great show of fireworks that the organizers promise to be the most spectacular of all time. The World Expo will run for six months and show the best of each of the 192 participating countries. The expectation has grown in recent days with the great interest of the public during the so-called soft opening (functional test carried out during six days) and organizers predict that, for the total period of the Expo, 100 million visitors will pass through the area of the event. “With the theme Pulsating Cities, Brazil's Pavilion will present the human and cultural diversity of Brazilian cities, the dynamism of its large cities and its booming economy, especially in the sectors of high technology and major advances of the country in the area of sustainability and social and political inclusion”,said Alessandro Teixeira, president of Apex-Brazil and general commissioner for the country's participation in the event. For China, whose investment in the realization of the Expo 2010 is na estimated US $ 4.8 billion, this will be another great opportunity to attract world attention to the country after the Olympics, and also to exchange information. That's because the theme of the Expo is "Better City, Better Life" and Thematic Forums are scheduled throughout the event period, with a focus on innovation projects and urban sustainable development.
