THE BEST OF PARIS IN 7 DAYS

The numerous attractions and beauty of Paris can leave anyone exhausted when there is little time to visit the French capital. So our JTI team stayed one week in Paris looking for what is best in town in order for your travel itinerary to be complete.

Once we arrived we went to the office of the incoming agency Cityrama, near the Louvre Museum, to get tickets to Paris L'Open Tour bus. It’s that typical tour bus, double deck, with four different routes and guided through the headphones. In two days of sightseeing, we made the four routes, agot n overview of the city and visit amazing places such as Montmartre, the Basilica of Sacre Coeur, Galeries Lafayette, La Samaritaine and Printemps, the Garnier Opera, the Place Vendome, Montparnasse, the Latin Quarter, the Bastille and the stunning Notre Dame.

On the first night we went out to discover the reason for the title "City of Light." For this, the Cityrama has comfortable buses that make the ride called "Illuminations" - a city tour to see the city at night, it’s all lit up.

After beeing enchanted by the night views of Paris, on the second night we went to one of the most famous cabarets in the world: the Lido. Situated on Champs-Elysees, the Lido presents a show called Bonheur. The scenery, costumes, music and artists fascinate the spectators. The atmosphere is glamorous, all tables are privileged with visibility to the stage and an excellent dinner before the show may be included.

In the following days, a chance to visit what was missing. We climbed to the top floor of the Eiffel Tower and then did a walk: we start from the Arc de Triomphe, walked through the Champs Elysees until we reached the Place de la Concorde. Then we visited the Madeleine Church and passed through the Tulheries Garden until we reach the Pyramid of the Louvre Museum. The modern glass pyramid makes a stark contrast to the old Palais du Louvre. It takes days to go and explore the Louvre, but one day is enough to visit the major works of art. We also highlight the Musée d'Orsay, the Centre Georges Pompidou and the Grévin Museum. The Grévin is one of the most famous wax museums and exists since 1882. It currently has 300 waxworks ranging from international artists to historical characters. The Middle Ages and the Renaissance are illustrated in Grévin through their puppets - it’s a journey through time.

Completing the tour of the French capital, we made a delicious trip with lunch and live music by the River Seine in a boat restaurant from the Bateaux Mouches Company. Throughout the day you can choose to make a simple cruise or a cruise with lunch (Saturdays, Sundays and holidays). In the evening there are only cruises with dinner. In more than 60 years of tradition, the Bateaux Mouches Company makes us discover the magic of Paris seen by the banks of the Seine.

But a journey in Paris will not be complete without a visit to its bistros, cafes and fine restaurants. We chose the restaurant Les Pataques, located in the Bercy district. The owner, Mr. Gilles Benvenuti, is always there to ensure all clients quality of service, friendly atmosphere and excellent and well served provincial food.

With so many attractions, it is no wonder that Paris is one of the sites that receives more tourists in the world. Try to discover (or rediscover) this enchanting city. Plan your trip and book the remaining time to live "La Vie en Rose" in the City of Light!
